A thirst-quenching, saline white wine that shows shimmering citrus fruit and stony minerality.

THE FACE BEHIND THE WINE | DOMAINE DU GRAND MOUTON

Once considered a backwater that was only capable of producing innocuous whites, Muscadet’s reputation was turned around in the mid-20th century by a band of winemakers known as the vignerons d’art. As one of this party, Louis Métaireau is part of a lineage that continues today at Domaine Grand Mouton. Marie-Luce Métaireau and her husband, Jean-François Guilbaud, and their successor Julian Rossignol now create racy, minerally whites that are all about complexity and nuance, which is abundantly evident in our Muscadet-sur-Lie AOP License IV white.
